To the W.S.D.A. Members Old and New
From the ewes pen!
Hi, everyone I am Bonnie Mitts and I will be your acting treasure for the 2012 year. I am looking forward to working with all of you of the WSDA. Another Fall is rolling around again. Chill is in the air in the mornings and my garden has been frosted beyond saving. In a way I am O K with that. I am ready to start the Fall work. I am looking forward to the Stock Dog Trials in Gillette of Penny’s. I am happy to report we have 15 new or past members rejoining this association for the 2012 year as well as 3 regular renews. 18 total (3 families – 12 single). Please keep those dues coming in as anyone joining now will be eligible for the 2012 year and all regular members remember dues are due by Dec. 31 each year. Application is in this news letter and on the web site. I have been hearing some exciting ideas for plans of the WSDA. I for one do not want this WYOMING ASSOCIATION to DISBAND. We need officers and members from all over to become part of and help in any way they can. This will take hard work and dedication, but is this not for the dogs?
ARTICLE II of our By-Laws states: "The objectives of this Assn. shall be to collect and preserve the history of the stock dog, to promote through obtaining, maintaining and disseminating information pertaining to their breeding and training as working dogs; to promote dog trials, exhibitions, publicity for stock dogs, and to work specifically for the improvement and preservation of the working stock dog. "
So get those dues headed this way. I will get the monies banked and we will be on the way to making plans. Can’t make plans without $$$$. Brandy F. is already on top of the hat sales. So come on and buy one or some and if anyone can sell some for her call or email her.
